Everyone wants to make money online! But the reality can be quite daunting especially when you don’t know where to start. Keywords are the key, as they can determine the success or failure of a website. So to succeed online, you first need to master the trick of how to find the best keywords for a website!
If you want to know how to get more traffic to your blog for free, then stick around. The secret is to find the exact keywords that your target audience uses when conducting an online search. This post will show you how to do this as well as covering 3 of most confusing topics that most newbies struggle with, which are:
- What is a niche market?
- How to use keywords to find niche markets?
- How to find the best keywords for a website?
What Is A Niche Market?
One of the first things that you need to decide on when you start an online business is what your niche market will be. For many people, this is a difficult decision because they don’t know what a niche market is. A niche market is a small segment of a market.
A market consists of people who require a specific product, information, or service that will fulfill their wants, needs or desires. There are thousands of popular niches/markets such as the food, clothing, handbags, sporting goods, educational goods, digital products, etc.
These niches are popular and get a huge number of searches and traffic. They are also very difficult for a newbie to complete in. If you choose a popular niche, you will be competing with many, very experienced entrepreneurs, and your chances of success will be zero. The best niche market for a beginner to choose is one with low competition.
Your Dream Job
Most people’s dream job would be to do something that they are passionate about, not necessarily something that will make them money! If you aren’t passionate about your online business, or the niche market that you choose, then you won’t succeed in the long run. A successful niche be one that you are passionate about, or have some knowledge of either through your:
- education
- career
- talents
- life experience
- hobby
- products or services that you use
As with any business, having an online business can often be tiring and frustrating. This is especially true when you encounter problems. For stay at home moms your personal life, such as not getting enough sleep because your baby is teething, may affect your desire to work. So, it is imperative that you choose a niche that you enjoy and are happy to wake up to every day!
Further to this if you want your website to be successful, you will need to put in the time and effort. Regularly write quality blogs, using keywords that are relevant to your website. By regularly, I mean at least 2 blogs per week. If you love to talk about a topic this will be evident to your readers, and great for your own well-being.
How To Find A Successful Niche
Now that you have chosen your niche topic, you need to find out if it has a market. The ultimate niche will be one where you have a monopoly! For instance, if your business provides custom-made products. Customers that require custom-made products would most likely be willing to pay a premium for your products.
Coming back down to earth, the absolute majority of niches will never develop into a monopoly. But it’s nice to dream! Instead, find yourself a niche that has the potential to make you money! If you can target the customers who want your product, then you could build up a strong relationship with your customers. Strong relationships result in customer loyalty, which is what most online businesses strive for.
In order to discover a successful niche, you need to find one that has some traffic, but little completion. A good niche for beginners has a small number of people that are interested in a product. Because the market size is small, experienced entrepreneurs won’t be interested in that market.
Look for a niche where there is a good demand by a small group of people. Find a niche where there are people who are actively looking for a product that will solve a problem or satisfy their needs. The niche should get enough monthly searches so that you can make money from it.
So how do you find a niche that has the above qualities? By using a website keyword research tool such as Jaaxy to find the best keywords that your niche audience is searching with. When people require a product or a service from an online business, they type in keywords into their search engine! If you use the same keywords that your potential customers are searching with, then your website will pop-up in their search.
Your aim should be to get your website onto the first page of Google. This is because the majority of people don’t search past the first few pages of Google. And many people don’t look beyond the first page! But your site will only have a high ranking if there is low competition for your keywords.
Watch the video to learn how to find keywords that you can use either to find a niche or to find the keywords that your audience is using when searching for a product or service.
How To Find The Best Keywords For A Website
To find the best keywords for a website you need to investigate keywords that relates to your niche topic. A great keyword, or keyword phrase, (also called long-tailed keywords), is one that a good number of people use when searching on the internet. It’s also important that the keyword has little competition from your competitors.
You don’t need to be an expert to find great keywords that get top Google search hits for you niche. You just need to use to right tool! One of the best website keyword research tools is Jaaxy. The reason that Jaaxy is a fantastic keyword finder, is because it takes the keywords straight out of the three largest websites, which are Google, Bing, and Yahoo.
There are hundreds of thousands of niches, and hundreds of millions of keywords! In a matter of seconds, Jaaxy will find the keywords that people search for within your niche. If you want to try Jaaxy out for yourself, click on the word Jaaxy and set up a free account. The free account will give you 30 keyword searches so that you can try it out the program for yourself.
How To Use Jaaxy
When determining the best niche to get into, start by researching broad category keywords that relate to your niche. Examples of these include; men’s clothes, women’s shoes, sports equipment, baby toys, birthday gifts, computer software, etc.
But to rank on the first few pages of Google, you need to get top Google search hits. You do this by finding low completion keywords with good average search rates. Let’s give it a try to see how it works. For instance, if my passion is “women’s shoes”, I simply plug in the words “women shoes” into Jaaxy.
There are 2 columns in Jaaxy that are of the greatest interest to me. The 1st column that is of interest, is the “Avg” column which depicts the average number of searches per month. The average number of searches should be at least 50+ per month. But the higher this number is, the better.
The other column of interest is the “QSR” which stands for Quoted Search Results. This column depicts the number of competing websites, (or competitors), that use that same keyword. The QSR number should be less than 100. And the closer the number is to zero, the better your chances of ranking on the first page of Google!
If you look at the above snapshot, my search using the keywords “women’s shoes” returns a “Normal” result. The reason for a normal result is because the QSR is 215. This means that there are 215 competing websites that use that exact keyword. If I decide to use women’s shoes as my niche, no-one will find my site as it will be listed on page 22 of Google.
If you look back at the first snapshot you will find that there is a very popular keyword with low competition. This niche is “aerosoles women’s shoes” with a QSR of 27 and a search result of a whooping 39434. This is a fantastic keyword and if I use this keyword as my niche I would have a great chance of ranking on the first page of Google.
If I don’t want “aerosoles women’s shoes” as my niche, there are 15 other low competition keywords which could I could use as my niche market (see above snapshot). So, instead of “aerosoles women’s shoes”, I could target the “tall women’s shoes” niche market which has 350 searches and a QSR of 30.
Sticking with my original “aerosoles women’s shoes” I can dig in deeper and investigate “aerosoles women’s flat shoes”. See snapshot below.
Looking at the above snapshot, what is interesting is that the QSR results for “aerosoles women’s shoes” is 27. But for “aerosoles womens shoes” (without the apostrophe), the QSR 61. Both these keywords have the same number of people searching with these keywords. However the first keyword is the better choice because it’s grammatically correct, and has a lower level of completion.
This example shows that by using different variations of your keywords, you can increase the numbers of keyword results. Using plurals or alternative words that are similar to your keyword such as “ladies” instead of “women” can also give you different search results.
Keywords For Blog Content
The best thing about a website keyword research tool such as Jaaxy is that you can also use it to find the best keywords for your website. Use Jaaxy to find keywords to use in your blog headings and the context of your blogs. Jaaxy will also make more suggestions with words that are related to your niche that you could use to brainstorm even more keywords. (See right hand column of the first 2 snapshots).
Each post that you write should contain different low competition keywords. This is so that your posts don’t complete with each other for first page ranking. This is yet another reason that a tool such as Jaaxy is indispensable.
Make sure that each and every page on your website contains at least 3 related keywords to your niche. Each keyword phrase that you use in your content needs to make sense and have the correct spelling. Otherwise your post won’t read well and your visitors will leave your page.
Use Jaaxy to find the best keywords for a website. Give it a try by entering your own keywords in the box below.
Good Rankings
If you want to know how to find the best keywords for a website and get good rankings, use Jaaxy. Jaaxy will help you to find low competition keywords that get a good search volume. Use these keywords in your posts to ensure that your posts get a good ranking on Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Good rankings result in more traffic! High traffic can also lead to a large number of loyal followers. If you own your own domain, high traffic to your site could allow you to sell advertising on your site. And once your website grows in popularity you could even sell your website to other people who want to buy your niche!

Yes one of the biggest problems for many bloggers is choosing a niche and then finding keywords that attract traffic but aren’t overly used by competitors. That’s one of the best features of Jaaxy. I would struggle to create content without this great tool.

I absolutely love Jaaxy , I am currently using the lite version and have had so much fun with it!. Not only does Jaaxy help with my research and helps me in finding the right keywords. I am also using Jaaxy’s site rank to better understand my analytics so I can figure out what is working and what isn’t working and make improvements. Jaaxy is a must have for any webmaster that wants to put out quality content..
I agree, Jaaxy is a must for any webmaster. Jaaxy is one of the best tools to find keywords. But as you say it has other useful functions such as finding out how your site ranks. I think that writing quality content without Jaaxy’s help would be quite difficult.
Hey, Suzie!
I really enjoyed the article. Was easy to read. And I found it to be straight to the point. Examples were awesome.
I’ve also been using Jaaxy. And I enjoy it a lot. I’ve used some other paid tools in the past, as well as free ones. However, I did find Jaaxy to be very affordable and in many ways superior to any of the ones I used, especially the free ones. People really should stop using the latter. They are pathetically inaccurate or too approximate to actually make your life easier and help you with keyword research.
In that regard, I do understand why many people dread the process. With Jaaxy it’s nothing like that.
Anyways, keep spreading the message.
Best of Luck!
Matiss
